There are not a lot of finished paintings due to the fact that joined the class late, and because for the first few months I didn't know what to do and didn't have a lot of initial guidance, so every class I was just drawing until we spoke and I began painting.

Reflection
I painted this based on a picture on Pinterest because you told me to find and copy a photo. I chose this one because I liked the colors and the background. If I could do it again, I would start with the top light green, then make my way down and do the blue, then purple, green, orange, and that light purple so that they cover each other up more realistically and are layered more properly.

Inspiration

Reflection:
For this piece, I wanted to paint my reference, a photo I took a few years ago at a lake. What I like about this piece is the water, which I looked at art pieces by Pecoff because I enjoyed the simplicity of the water and tried to the best of my abilities to interpret in my way. As for the rest of the piece, I don't like it at all. l The island I didn't use black, but it looks like I did, so it gave it a weird look, and I wish I could have done something else, or maybe not added the background land. I also don't think I enjoy how I did the sky, the clouds are not bright enough, and don't pop like they do in the original photo.

Before final edit

Reflection: Part One
For this piece, I wanted to do something similar to what I did on my last piece, with the water. I like how the water is straightforward and smooth, and how the waves pop out just like in Pecoff's work. I am also very proud of the clouds, which look like clouds, unlike my previous painting. I could have done better on the island in the background, but in my reference, the island is far away and has that distant shadow, so I tried to do that, but I made the island too bold. Also, I wish I could have done a better boat, but I also feel like it matches the water with a cartoonish, bold, and simple look. I very loosely followed the reference because I wanted to incorporate the water style of my other piece
Part two
I decided to edit this piece from what I originally made only slightly, and I like it much better now because when I put more detail in the background island and made it brighter, it brought more life and light to the piece like into the background before it looked more bland and after it doid look brighter., and made everything coordinate with each other better. I also liked how I did the water, I do slightly wish I could get the waves to blend more to make it softer to match the mountains.

Reflection:
For this piece, I wanted to do something slightly different from the landscapes and wanted to try to paint some flowers instead. So I saw a clip on Pinterest on an easy way to paint roses and make them different colors. You start with a base circle of whatever color you want to pop out in the roses, and then paint the petals using white. I liked this piece because of the diffrent colored roses and would at some point want to recreate it but with diffrent rose designs to test out different styles. Something I would do differently is most likely how all the roses sit together, and maybe make them smaller so I can add more in various colors.

Reflection:
For this piece, I was painting on an already covered canvas, so the canvas already had the faces on it, and I liked them. Instead of painting over the canvas, I wanted to add to the previous artwork in my own way. What I did forest was I painted the background a dark blue and carefully went around the faces, then I started on the flowers. I wanted it to look crowded, and I wanted some of the flowers to go with the expression on the faces. I really, really like this piece. I love the faces, and I love many of the flowers. There are some I wish I took longer on, but I overall just really like how it looks and how, even though it's pretty crowded, it's not like an eyesore, and there is still space.
