this was my collaboration piece my partner was June. They gave me their poem book and I read a few and chose to do an inspiration based on a theme in many of the poems where the earth layers are described and used metaphorically. I decided to make an earth with a piece cut out so I made two pinch pots and put them together to make a globe. Once that globe dried I cut a chunk out and rolled two slabs out the make a 90-degree angle with my two slabs sorry of like Pacman. Next,t I let that all dry and started to paint the earth along with the contents than when I went to work on the inside I used paper to make a thin layer to be the earth's crust. Next, I used red to make the mantle of the earth and then used yellow to make the core. I then painted a house along with a road the house was placed in the center of the earth. Something I would do differently is I would have made the continents more realistic I sort of just painted green blobs so its nowhere near accurate.

For the best I made the shoulders out of three rolled-up bags then I placed a toilet roll on the ball in the middle to be the nech then I rolled up a few bags a taped them in a way where you could slightly make out the structure of a face. After I constructed the base structure, I started adding loads of clay in small chunks to slowly build up the figure till it was all covered in clay I then started adding more clay to specific areas like the shoulders and the base of the neck. Next, once I was satisfied enough with how the base areas looked I started to make a more defining face like adding more to the jaw area so that I could get the desired face shape I also added more clay to the back and top of the head. Once I was satisfied with the shape of the head I referred to where the eyes were gonna be and marked it out by pushing my thumbs into the face far so I could make sockets . After adding the balls into the tickets I rolled out coils to put around the eye and put larger chunks above the eyes to mimic brow bone,
Why I scrapped it
The reason I decided to not finish the bust was that when I started the bust the week before I was going to volunteer at camp for a week and would be gone so once I returned the bust was slightly dry and I did like the eyes or how big the head was and I wanted to work on other projects that I wanted to take home and have in my room the bust was not something I wanted to take home or have to be honest so I decided to scarp ti.

This piece was my monster. I did not realize at the time that I had not taken a photo, so the one I used is weirdly blurry because it's from the background of one of my other photos. To build this piece, I made an oval shape for the body that attached a circular piece to my lump for the face. I then attached four tubes to the bottom for the feet. Next, I cut the body in half so I could hollow out the body. After I hollowed out the body I attached the horns and eyes and rolled a coil out for the tail. Once it dried I painted the body blue except for some large parts where I painted it green and then I clear glazed it. Something I would do differently is the whole thing I didn't like this monster at all I didn't enjoy making it and I did like,e how sloppy it looked if I were to do it again maybe I would make it bigger so I could add more details to it.

To build this piece I rolled a large slab at placed it around a bottle I found outside. Next, I smoothed out the sides. After that, I removed the bottle and attached a bottom piece. For the design on the side, I used a loop tool to make the leaves and the stem shape I made them all different sizes so that I didn't have to deal with the symmetry and because I thought it looked more unique when They were different sizes. I am gonna glaze the cup white because I wanted it to look simple and clean. Something I would do differently is make the sides of the cup thinner they are a bit thick so I cant really drink out of it so it will be a holder for something instead,
